A busy week working on some pretty fascinating stuff this end. Sorry we have had no time for any other blog posts but we could not neglect this week’s five things.
The importance of silence should not be underestimated. New research shows it can help regenerate our brain cells and reduce stress.
An eye-opening and quite terrifying look at what is really in our food and how it is produced.
We loved all of the recipes on this link so we thought it was only right we shared it.
How often do we all get distracted? Back to single-tasking so we feel value in what we do.
We found this recipe on the Barefoot Kitchen facebook page and they make such a great and easy treat. Recipe is as follows:
1 cup of pumpkin seeds
1 cup of shredded coconut
1 cup of sunflower seeds
1/2 cup of of linseed
1/2 cup of sultanas, cranberries or other dried fruit
2 cups of pitted medjool dates (or other dried date)
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/4 cup of coconut oil
50g melted dark chocolate for drizzling on top (optional)
Blitz all ingredients together in a little food processor.
Line a slice tray with baking paper, and press in granola mixture until compact and even.
Bake for 10-15 minutes on 180 degrees or until the top is golden.
Remove and drizzle with chocolate, allow to cool and cut into desired pieces.
